To his enormous delight, Tim is asked to help sail a yacht from the Netherlands to Greece. For the skipper, millionaire Robert, Tim's neligeble sailing experience doesn't appear to present any problem at all.
Once aboard, Robert keeps Tim and travel companion Julia entertained with the most fantastic stories. However as the journey progresses, Robert starts to act rather strangely. Little by little, Tim begins to realize that Robert is not quite the man he appears to the outside world.
Could it be Tim's imagination running riot after weeks at sea, or might he actually be dealing with a psychopath?
Dark Waves is a thriller that gets right under your skin. A story about trust in human goodness, but also about people who present themselves differently to how they really are inside.

About Eric
Eric Wewerinke (1973) studied Business Administration at the University of Groningen. During that time he took a gap year to travel across land to India. Back home he received the invitation to join the sailing trip from Holland to Greece which his book Dark Waves is based on.
After surviving his bizarre adventure, he continued to satisfy his desire te see the world. He studied in Macau and resided in Kuala Lumpur. He lived and worked for a while in Japan (Tokyo), and then returned back to the Netherlands to start working as a marketer for Philips.
For twenty years he was active (internationally) for brands like Doritos & Lay's and was responsible for campaigns such as that of 0.0% beer with Charlie Sheen. At this moment in time he is helping big and small companies and organizations with their marketing and brand strategy and he has put his own Smoothie and Kombucha brands on the market.
The last years he combines his work in marketing with writing. After his best-selling debut 'Dark Waves' he is now working on his next novel. Eric lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
